PANGA MOTHERSHIP TONY REYES
FISHES IN GOOD MIDRIFF WEATHER

June 24, 2005, Tony Reyes Jr., Tony Reyes, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Panga Mothership Fishing Trip Report:

We had great weather fishing at the major islands, including Partida, Raza, Salsipuedes, San Francisquito Bay, and Isla la Guarda. The water temperature was 70 to 78 degrees. The best lure of the trip was the MirrOlure, in pink, purple, and fire tiger colors. On this trip, it was hard to catch live bait due to the full moon, and lots of giant squid still in the area. There were lots of yellowtail on the surface eating anchovies. The fish count of the Tony Reyes for this fishing trip out of San Felipe: yellowtail, 325 up to 32 lb.; cabrilla, 315 up to 12 lb.; sheep head, 54 up to 12 lb.; spotted bass, limits; broomtail grouper, 15 up to 20 lb.; two grouper, 30 to 40 lbs.; black sea bass, 1, 40 lb.; white sea bass, 9 up to 55 lb; pargo, 25 up to 15 lb.
