HOT AND HUMID WEATHER AND TOUGH
FISHING AT MIDRIFF ISLANDS

Sept. 3, 2005, Tony Reyes Sr., Tony Reyes Fishing Tours, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Panga Mothership Fishing Reports:

Tony Reyes Jr., San Felipe Panga Mothership Tony Reyes Fishing Trip, Aug. 29-Sept. 2, 2005, 2005:

The San Felipe panga mothership Tony Reyes fished at the Midriff Islands on a six-day trip. We had breezy fishing weather the first couple of days. We got live bait for three days of fishing. This week it was hard fishing, catching a few fish here and a few there.

The weather was hot and humid while fishing the major areas south of San Felipe, such as La Partida, San Francisquito bay, La Guarda, and the Enchanted Islands. We were looking for more dorados, and the catching got better, with better weather during the week. Our fish count for this San Felipe fishing trip was: 165 yellowtail up to 22 lb; 85 cabrillas up to 12 lb; 25 sheephead 10 lb; 18 red snappers to 8 lb; 14 dorados up to 15 lb; 3 squid; 2 groupers 30 and 55 lb; 1 black sea bass 65 lb; 175 spotted bass; 50 miscellaneous fish.
