COOLER WEATHER AND A NEW FORD DEALERSHIP IN TOWN

Dec. 10, 2006, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico:

Hola everyone from San Felipe where the locals and all-year-rounders are shivering and the visitors from up north think it's just perfect.

There was a glorious full moon last week. Right now it's 76 degrees on the balcony with a nice 20 percent relative humidity.

San Felipe Bay is steel gray and there are some patchy clouds in a sky that is a little hazy.

Lots of folks are sitting out on the balcony just enjoying their morning coffee and the Sunday papers.

San Felipe had two Christmas parades this past week including the famous "Parade Of Lights," which my husband an I accidentally got caught up in on Friday evening.

This year the parade was quite long and very spectacular. Some pictures may be seen at blueroadrunner.com but it's a tough thing to take good photos at night.

Holiday madness has arrived full bore at San Felipe. The swap meet has been jammed the last couple of weekends. Also, the work on the main road, Route 5, continues at a fast pace.

We also noticed for the first time the other day that there is now a Ford dealership in town! True, it's small, but there is a brand new Mustang in the window. Wow! Good-bye little town of San Felipe.
