WHITE SEABASS OF 55.8 POUNDS
CAUGHT ON CHARTER BOAT GARRON

Sept. 12, 2004, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin fishing, Baja California, Mexico:

Pete Byrne from Long Beach brought down a group of 16 guys and fished 2 days out of San Quintin. First day's jackpot AND trophy went to Richard Francoeur from Lynwood, CA with a 55.8 lb white seabass fishing with Captain Pato aboard the Garron. Everyone else limited on San Quintin yellowtail and white seabass--all boats did well at Socorro .

Clay White and Stephanie Gruver from Ramona were down for the weekend bringing with them Clay's parents, John & Phyllis White, visiting from Stubenville, Ohio. They went out with Captain Miguel on the Pelicano bringing in limits of yellowtail and white seabass. Stephanie brought in her first white seabass and the largest, at 47 lbs.

San Quintin fishing weather has been great - hot sunny days between 95 and 100 degrees. Seas have been calm. We had a report of small yellowfin over the radio, 12 to 20 miles from the point on a 240 heading. The fish were very small and only a few.
