SIX BOATS FISH NORTH FOR LINGCOD AND ROCKCOD

Oct. 31, 2004, Pete Hillis, Pedro's Pangas, San Quintin, Baja California, Mexico:

We had six San Quintin boats out this week. Most boats went north for good catches of rockcod and lingcod with an occasional yellowtail to 20 pounds. Rudy Lopez from the San Diego area brought friends, John, Don and Alan, and fished with Captain Pato on the Garron at Socorro for limits of white seabass. The largest was 45 pounds. Also got limits of calicos and sandbass with a few reds.

San Quintin fishing weather is pretty much like So. Cal. Mornings are cool but afternoons nice and warm. No winds, seas have been calm.

We are starting our winter special: 2 days fishing, 2 nights at the Old Mill Hotel, with 2 dinners and 2 lunches at the Old Mill Restaurant for $210 a person, minimum 3. More information (888/568-BAJA).
