GOOD YELLOWTAIL FISHING IN GLASSY
July 15, 2004, Steve McGill, Bahia de los Angeles fishing, Baja California, Mexico:
The waters were glassy and the wind calm for some of the best yellow tail fishing around. the waters around piojo were loaded with thousands of birds working along with porpoise and yellowtail crashing eveywhere, the surface iron action was going off if you chased the birds and casted in the middle with 10 to 30 pound yellows working your tackle to its limits. smith was holding the bigger boys with lots of tackle being lost to the reefs, also a marlin was sighted by Abraham and casted on with no luck. Lots of barracuda around if your into them and the bottom fish were working as well. great time to be down there with water temps outside to 76 and inside to 81 with no red tides in sight. |
