SAN FRANCISQUITO GROUP FLY-IN TRIP REPORT

Oct. 14, 2004, John Whitaker, San Francisquito, Baja California, Mexico fly-in travel report:

A short report on San Francisquito. 14 of us went down there last Fri through Sunday. Flight down was good and strip fine. Weather was nice with little wind. Water was real warm but dropped several degrees by Sunday. Tons of bait in the water of the real small variety. Plenty of skipjack tuna around for fun and mucho small dorado. We got them on the troll, throwing jigs and a 6# fly rod. Good beach fishing early in the mornings. Many small yellowtail on the jigs and fly. Also grunts, barries and cabrilla. Dinner at the San Francisquito camp was very good on Sat. night with dorado for all. Not too much damage from the storm but way too many bugs that bite.
