SAN FRANCISQUITO DIVERS SPEAR
A 72-POUND WHITE SEABASS

May 29, 2005, J.L. Terry, San Francisquito diving report, Baja California, Mexico:

Free divers just came into San Francisquito with Juan from hotel, with a 72-pound white seabass, a 38 pound yellow, and other yellows in 25/30 pound range. The white seabass was the biggest "corvina blanca" I have seen. they call themselves the "marks" first names of the divers, free diving, big guns. The fishing water at San Francisquito is getting warmer, maybe 70 degrees now, with cold spots on the reefs. There is a lot of water movement with the full moon and south wind.

I had the squid chorrizo for breakfast yesterday. It tastes just like regular chorrizo. Fry it and break eggs into it and mix it up. Very good. You would not know it's squid.

We saw some very impressive great cave rock paintings by El Arco also. The area just gets more interesting.
