FISHING IS FAIR FOR YELLOWTAIL AS CONSTRUCTION
PROCEEDS FOR A NEW VILLAGE GAS STATION

Oct. 24, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles fishing, Baja California, Mexico:

Fishing at Bahia de los Angeles (L.A. Bay) is fair now. Yellowtail are still here, and the fishing action is still down deep. It has been slow and the few yellows are small. Most of the action is on jigs. Some sierra are in the bay. The bait is easy to get now.

Bahia de los Angeles weather is starting to cool down to the low 80’s for a high and the mid 60’s during the night, with low humidity.

Winds have been moderate out of the north for a few days. The water temperature is still between 76-80 degrees.

The road conditions to Bahia de los Angeles are great, and gasoline is pumping good at 2.10 dollars per gallon. Construction is going on for a second Pemex gas station in town.

Whale sharks are inside the bay now. There are several of them, very late, so the season will not be long. It is great to see Norma the shark grew 3 more feet since last year. So if you have been waiting for the sharks, they are finally here.
