WHALE SHARKS LEAVE BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES
AS WINTER SEASON APPROACHES
Nov. 27, 2005, Abraham Vazquez, Camp Gecko, Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, Mexico Village Report:
Today, the waves are big and the wind is 30-40 m.p.h., and we are getting sand blasted. You can't even get close to the water, let alone have a boat fishing in it.
Bahia de los Angeles weather has been very unstable as is normal for this time of year. The days are upper 70's and nights in the low 60's. Humidity is high. Today is the west wind, yesterday was calm, and the week before had strong north winds.
The water temperature is going down to 69-71 degrees in most of the places.
We had a good crowd for Thanksgiving week end. Fishing at Bahia de los Angeles fair now. Yellowtail are scarce, but there are lots of bottom fish in the catches. Most of the catches are bottom fish, but that is if you can get a good day and go out.
The road conditions are great. Gas is 2.11 dollars per gallon. The whale shark are gone.
