FISHING AND CAMPING AT PUNTA LA GRINGA
Jan. 6, 2006, John Carroll, Bahia de los Angeles, Baja California, Mexico Sportfishing Trip Report:
We went over to Bahia de los Angeles and camped at Punta la Gringa for about three days.
It was very typical "Spotty" fishing, with a few Barracuda and Ling Cod off the kayak in deep water. I took the kids out numerous times on the kayak and they absolutely killed it on small Spotties. They really had the time of their lives.
At one point my wife estimated that my son JJ spent at least six hours, two days in a row, either paddling a surf board or fishing for Bass and forgetting to eat. Like father like son! I am stoked at how much fun they have down there with no TV or their friends. Baja is a magical place because of the bonds that it creates between family and friends.
The trip was with brothers Chris and Tim, their friends, and families totaling 13 people.
