GOOD MIX OF FISH SPECIES CAUGHT BY EL CID CARIBE FLEET

July 7, 2006, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Cancun area produces mix bag fishing for El Cid Caribe boats:

We had another week of mixed bag fishing for the El Cid Caribe fleet fishing off Puerto Morelos near Cancun. The combined catch of both inshore and offshore charter boats reflected a catch of 1 white marlin released, 4 sailfish released, 2 dorado, 6 dog toothed snapper, 8 sierra, 5 barracuda and 4 grouper for 12 individual sportfishing charters of varied durations of 4 to 8 hours.

Cancun sportfishing area climate was warm and humid and mostly cloudy, with air temperatures of from 80 to 94 degrees. Cancun area sea conditions had light easterly winds continuing at 8 to 12 knots, water temperatures ranged from 81 to 83 degrees. Ballyhoo or halfbeak baits continue to be the number one choice for all of the fish species.
