RAINY BAJA SUMMER WEATHER COMES TO EAST CAPE'S LA RIBERA

La Ribera, East Cape, Baja California Sur, Mexico weather report, Russ Fritz, Sept. 5, 2004:

I just got home to La Ribera in the midst of a rain storm. East Cape roads are still passable, but power, water, and services are spotty at best. We are getting a little gusty wind this morning, but it is still as death now. I think that the tail end of the storm must be passing, as we are mostly overcast with a few blue holes to the west. More threatening skies to the east though and light sprinkles at the moment. I drove through very heavy showers on Friday morning from C. Constitution to La Paz, then again south of La Paz through the mountains it poured heavy with perhaps 20 m.p.h. wind, lightning, and thunder.
