FISHING TRIP ABOARD THE CHARTER BOAT EL JEFE AT RANCHO LEONERO

Oct. 17, 2005, Carol Goldman, East Cape, Baja Sur, Mexico:

We were at Rancho Leonero, East Cape, Baja California Sur, Mexico, Oct. 8 to Oct. 12.

While fishing on El Jefe of Cabo Pulmo in choppy water, my husband, John Goldman, caught a 70 pound Yellow Fin Tuna, tail wrapped, in 45 minutes on Oct. 9, and my cousin, Rick Knowles, caught a 104 pound Yellow Fin Tuna, also tail wrapped, in 1 hour and 45 minutes on the same day. Others caught lots of tuna but not as big. A few small Dorato were caught.
