The wind was turned off most of the week. Our East Cape fishing water maintained its temperature. We are starting to see temperatures in the high 70's
But the wind did start on Thursday evening and it seems that it's going to continue for the weekend.
Fishing is very close this week, with boats fishing for everything right in front of La Rivera and Cabo Pulmo. Bottom fishing can get you tuna, dorado, jacks, snapper and Marlin, yes marlin. Squid is now everywhere, and sometimes is a problem if you want to catch something else.
East Cape sportfishing offshore has continued to be quite decent for this time of the year, with good counts of billfish, stripers and sails, good size tuna, very little dorado.
With calm seas, the inshore fishing at East Cape was really good for lady fish, small jacks and there are plenty of small roosters. Also a lot of sierra already in the area.
Bait used was Mackerel, some sardine for two days, and guests are using squid as cut bait.
