BUENA VISTA BEACH RESORT BOATS FISHING OFF LA RIBERA
Nov. 18-24, 2005, Axel Valdez, Buena Vista Beach Resort, East Cape Fishing, Baja California, Mexico:
Total East Cape charter fishing boats out 13; Fishermen 44; Weather Low 80's-Low 90's; Water Temperature 77-80. Catch including released fish: Striped Marlin 10, Sailfish 20, Dorado 22, Snapper 3, Skip Jack 2, Sierra 63.
East Cape fishing water continues to slowly cool down, but is giving us enough time to have a great time fishing.
We had some wind early in the week, but it never took off, and it slowed down as the week continued on, giving us beautiful days in the mid 90's.
Our sportfishing charter fleet continues to fish right in front of La Rivera. They were also fishing up north at Pescadero point to the shark buoys, with great result on dorado.
Billfish got hot this past week, as we had days with up to 6 per boat and they are finding them bottom fishing right in front of La Rivera. Togo Hazard on their monthly trip got 7 billfish on his 2nd day out and 6 bill fish on the next day.
Dorado were finally present as we have wanted the whole year. We will keep a close eye on this.
Inshore Sierra fishing continues to go very strong. Bait used, mackerel.
