PANGA FISHING AT EAST CAPE WITH CAPT. ALONSO CASTRO

It's still great fishing at East Cape when the wind doesn't blow. I got out yesterday with Alonso Castro in his "bare bones" panga and would have done better but had a little trouble making bait. After we did, it was wide open on bait or lures for striped marlin. We got 2 to the boat, with one 20 pound dorado thrown it for table fare.

It was another wonderful day on the water in the East Cape. I'm really enjoying the laid back pace of my pangalero buddies. Hope I don't have reverse cultural shock going home. East Cape winds are blowing again today...wait, wait, wait, then go hook those hungry fish.
