SUPER STEADY YELLOWS--Just about every Vonny's Fleet panga fishing last week at Ensenada's Punta Banda scored on multiple yellowtail, including many full limits. From Tuesday's catch, here are Jay Johnson and Debbie Aslin with Vonny's Fleet's Capt. Beto and three of their six yellowtail. Photo courtesy Ivan Villarino.

ENSENADA SPORTFISHING PANGAS SCORE STEADY YELLOWTAIL AT PUNTA BANDA
June 18, 2005, Ivan Villarino, Vonny's Fleet, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:
Ensenada weather in our Punta Banda fishing area toward the end of the week was partly cloudy in the mornings, clearing in the high-60s in the afternoons, with mostly very light winds, ocean swells of 3 to 4 feet, and water temperatures averaging 61 degrees.
All week long, our pangas had very steady catches of yellowtail, up to five per boat, plus quite a few barracuda limits, and some calico bass and bottom fish.
On Saturday, Kellen Mitchell from Tejunga, Calif., caught one yellowtail, some calicos and barracudas on the Vonny III with Capt. Cruz Zamora. Jeff Hastman from Anaheim, Calif., and Lloyd Mitchell from North Hollywood caught 5 yellowtails and some barracudas on the Vonny I. Juan Flores from Tijuana, B.C., Mexico, caught two yellowtails and some barracudas on the Vonny II with Capt. Hector "Genaro" Zamora.
On Friday, Lloyd Mitchell from North Hollywood and Jeff Hastman from Anaheim caught five yellowtails and some barracudas on the Vonny I. Skylar Aretakis and Lee Baillie from San Marcos caught 4 yellowtails and some barracudas on the Vonny III. Andrew and John Rowe from Sydney, Australia, caught 5 yellowtails and some barracudas on the Vonny II.
On Tuesday, Jay Johnson and Debbie Aslin from "El Rincon de Ballenas" caught 6 yellowtails and some barracudas on the Vonny I.
On Monday, Richard Walker, Michael Decker and George Moore from Los Angeles caught limits of yellowtails (12) and limits of barracudas on the Vonny III. Chuck Beck and Dolina George from Torrance caught limits of yellowtails (10) and limits of barracudas on the Vonny II.
