EL DORADO SPORTFISHING FINDS BOTTOM FISH LIMITS FOR FOUR ANGLERS

Today I fished again at Soledad bank and had very good action for four anglers with limits of rockcod, three lingcod, 10 salmon grouper, and one cowcod, which we call "pez gallo." The weather for the fishing day was very good, with zero wind, very good for bottom fishing. The water temperature was 66.7 degrees.

On Tuesday, Aug. 2, I went fishing out of Ensenada with four anglers, heading toward the Soledad bank area to fish on the bottom, and we had a lot of success. The fishing was very good and we caught limits of rockcod of very good size, 10 salmon grouper, and six lingcod. The fishing weather was very good, and the water temperature was 65 degrees. Bahia de Soledad is an area located south of Ensenada's Punta Banda, 10 miles at 200 degrees on the compass, and we fished at a depth of 300 to 400 feet.
