Dr. Mark Perez, Dr. Larry Poon, and Deric Rangell combined to catch a 164 pound marlin off Ensenada on 8/30/05, in 1 hour, 45 minutes, on 50 pound Izorline. It was caught on the troll with a black/purple Aucker soft head single hook. The reel was an Accurate-30. The marlin was caught on Tamara, of Lily Fleet, Sammy Susarrey, out of Marina Coral, Ensenada. We were fishing 35 miles west of Ensenada. The fishing water temperature was 70-71 degrees and smooth seas. No other fish caught. Oscar, Sammy's father was our skipper. |
