LILY FLEET BOAT FINDS BOTTOM FISH AND
SOME YELLOWTAIL AT ISLA TODOS SANTOS

Sept. 16, 2005, Sammy Susarrey, Lily Fleet, Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico:

Fishing south of Ensenada at San Jose reef has been great for bottom fish. Most of our trips on the Amigo and Tamara have been doing great. In local fishing around Ensenada we've caught a few yellowtail, 12 pounders, and medium sized barracuda, around the north point Todos Santos island.

This week, the Amigo and Tamara fished at Todos Santos in 63-degree green water, San Jose reef in 51-degree clean water, Santo Tomas in 55-degree water, and 14 to 18 miles outside Punta Banda bank in 65-degree water. Outside Punta Banda bank, a private Ensenada fishing boat reported three yellowtail per rod of about 15 pounds on kelp paddies.
