ENSENADA PANGA FISHING WITH CAPT. BETO

Dan Byerley and I fished at Ensenada with Vonny's Fleet on Friday, Oct. 21st, with Captian Cruz, and on Saturday, Oct. 22nd with Captian Beto.

Ensenada fishing weather was overcast and cool, with flat water and limits of Lingcod for two fisherman both days.

We used live mackerel just off the bottom on 40 pound line and lost just as many as we caught. All of our fish were from 8 pound up to 12 pounds.

This trip to Ivan Villarino's place at Ensenada was the best bottom fishing for lingcod I can remember in a long time. Every mackerel dropped down to the bottom was attacked instantly, and if you could get the hook to stick, and pull the fish from their rocky holes you'd have another nice ling in your lap.
