PANGA YELLOWTAIL FISHING AT PUNTA BANDA
Aug. 12, 2006, Ivan Villarino, Vonny's Fleet, Panga fishing at Ensenada's Punta Banda:
This week was very good for our pangas fishing around Punta Banda.
On Monday, Mike Kelly, Sharon Kelly and her daughter from Los Angeles, California caught one nice yellowtail and limits on bottom fish on the panga Vonny-III with Capt. Hector.
Ed Purcell from "Campo Arnaiz" also went out fishing with Ivan and they caught some halibuts and calico bass.
On Tuesday's fishing, Bud Morits and his granddaughter Sarah Atkinson from Paso Robles, California went out on the panga Vonny-I with Capt. Beto and they caught two yellowtail and limits on bottom fish.
Wednesday's fishing had Steve Cate and his friend from Los Altos, California go out on the panga Vonny-II with our new Capt. Vicente and they caught 3 nice yellowtails and some bottom fish.
On Friday, the Jack Pot of the week went to Jay Johnson on the Vonny-I with Capt. Beto. They caught limits on yellowtail, 18-30 pounds.
And Capt. Hector on the Vonny-III took Brian and Joan Foley and they landed 3 very nice yellowtails besides some sugar bass, lingcods and reds.
Ensenadafishing area weather at the end of the week had scattered clouds, temperature 71-79 degrees, light breezes, swells 3 feet, water temperature 67 degrees.
