BOTH INSHORE AND OFFSHORE FISHING SEE A SLIGHT UPSWING
Oct. 16-21, 2004, Stan Lushinsky, Ixtapa Sportfishing Charters, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing:
Better weather and sea conditions allowed for a slight upswing in both the inshore and offshore fishing at Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico, last week.
Dr. Ed Anderson, of Cambridge, MD, after having a slow day offshore on the Vamanos II, rebounded nicely with Capt. Adolofo landing 2 SAILFISH, 2 DORADO, and released 1 BLUE MARLIN in one day of fishing.
Returning Ixtapa Zihuatanejo angler, Jeff Burham, also fishing with Capt. Adolofo landed 10 BONITOS, 2 SAILFISH and lost 1 ROOSTERFISH.
Paul Lundberg of Dallas, TX, fishing with Capt. Chiro and Efraine landed 2 SAILFISH and lost 2 SAILFISH.
Capt. Miguel of the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing boat Tarpon reported one shark in one offshore day.
Capt. Gume aboard the Zaptito Gordo reported 3 BONITOS and 1 SPANISH MACKEREL on a fly with a client from France.
Several other Ixtapa Zihuatanejo captains reported 2-3 SAILFISH per day per boat. The blue water is between 8 to 10 miles out and the sea conditions are excellent.
I/Z Climate: Humid with Temps in the high 80?s with no rain.
Sea Conditions: Excellent
Bait Supply: Good.
