FISHING ACTION STEADY AND PRODUCTIVE FOR CHARTER BOATS

Excellent fishing conditions for both inshore and offshore species continued in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo last week.

Returning fly fishing angler, Miles Mcfall fishing out of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo aboard the Gran Jefe for four days, had 24 shots at sailfish and 3 Dorado hookups.

Canadian angler Mr. Verna also fishing aboard the Grand Jefe hooked three YELLOWFIN TUNA and 2 SAILFISH in two days of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing.

Captain Temo on the Secuestro Reported a good mixed bag for his clients from Holland. Captain Temo reported 2 ROOSTERFISH, 1 YELLOWTAIL JACK, 3 SAILFISH, 1 DORADO 5 GROUPER and a handful of small game in four days of fishing.

Also fishing with Captain Temo, Mr Ray landed 1 SAILFISH, 2 GROUPER and 1 SPANISH MACKEREL in two days of fishing.

Returning Pittsburg Pa, angler Dr. Joe Marko fishing aboard the Marfel for three days landed 4 SAILFISH, 11 YELLOWFIN TUNA, 10 YELLOWTAIL JACK, 1 ROOSTERFISH AND 1 DORADO.

CAPTAIN ARTURO LANDA FISHING THREE DAYS LANDED 5 GROUPER, 2 SAILFISH, 4 YELLOWTAIL JACKS, AND 1 ROOSTERFISH.

Capt. Adolofo Espinosa reported fishing three days with returning angler Jim Collins who landed 7 ROOSTERFISH, 19 YELLOWTAIL JACKS, 15 SPANISH MACKEREL and 1 SAILFISH.

Mr. Miseri also fishing with Capt. Adolofo for four days landed 8 SAILFISH, 10 ROOSTERFISH and 1 DORADO.

Captain Cheva of the Dos Hermanos 2 led Atlanta angler John Cliff to 4 sailfish strikes on a fly and returning angler Chris Morrision to 15 SAILFISH in two days of fishing.

Capt. Candelerio of the Leydy fishing with European angler Mr. Frankhauser for 6 days reported 12 SAILFISH, 13 YELLOWTAIL JACKS, 1 ROOSTERFISH, 1 CHULA and 6 SPANISH MACKEREL.

Capt. Chiquis " Alberto Hernandez on the INTRUZZA reported a 7 SAILFISH for client Mr. Minzenmayer in 5 days of fishing.

The blue water is within 6 miles of shore. Inshore the captains reported the best action far away from Zihuatanejo bay requiring an extended day.

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo weather was seasonably mild with temperatures in the 90's.

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo sea conditions were calm, and the bait supply is good.
