VERY FEW ANGLERS PRESENT
Sept. 2, 2005, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing Report:
The Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing vacation area had very slow on angler activity that reflected only 2 fishing days aboard the 25-foot Super Panga "Grand Jefe" this week.
Their first fishing day reflected 1 sailfish released and 3 bonito, and the 2nd day also reflected 1 sailfish released, 3 skipjack tuna and 3 bonito.
According to Abel Cortez, the local representative, "Fishing is slow both inshore and offshore due to the flow of the rivers. There is a lot of dirt and garbage from the mountains flowing to the ocean from the rains."
Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing weather was mostly cloudy with occasional rain squalls, temperatures from 71-degree nights to 90 daytime high's, and sea conditions were moderate.
