SOME SAILFISH CAUGHT IN SETTLING OFFSHORE WATER CONDITIONS
Oct. 13, 2005, Stan Lushinsky, Ixtapa Sportfishing Charters, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing Report:
After the departure of Hurricane Stan the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing area started a return to the normal October sportfishing patterns.
The first to turn on was the offshore where our captain found the blue water at the 20 mile mark. Captain Chiro on the Vamonos 3 reported catching one SAILFISH on his first trip offshore.
Captain Jamie on the Vamonos landed 2 sailfish on his first trip offshore.
Several Dorado and other Sailfish were also reported near the end of the week.
Inshore continues to improve but has some way to go as the heavy rains have discolored the waters near shore and the fishing has not set up as it should for this time of year.
Final preparations are made for this year's Ixtapa Zihuatanejo Total Tag & Release fishing tournament to be held November 6-9, 2005. Interested anglers are encouraged to contact our office for further details.
