LARRY EDWARDS SPORTFISHING REPORT

Nov. 25, 2005, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Mexico Fishing Report:

Improving sea conditions in the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo sportfishing area continue to advance this season's bite.

Although fishing water temperatures at Ixtapa Zihuatanejo have dropped back a bit, making the sailfish more sluggish, the marlin activity increased.

The arrival of Chulas at Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, which is a white meat mackerel, is a signal of the cooler water temps. Ixtapa Zihuatanejo weather had cooler mornings with seasonally beautiful days, temperatures at 69 nights to 91 daytime highs.

Seas were calm with blue water at the 8 mile mark, and water temperatures in the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo fishing area averaging 83 degrees.

European angler, Mr. Courte, fishing offshore with Captain Adolfo, landed 1 blue marlin, 1 dorado and 2 sailfish. Turning their attention to inshore fishing, Captain Adolfo and Mr. Courte landed 28 yellowtail jacks, 9 chulas and 2 roosterfish for 4 fishing days.

French angler, Mr. Hache, finished up his week of fishing by fishing 2 days with Captain Cheva on the "Dos Hermanos II", landing 5 yellowtail jacks, 1 bigeye jack and several needlefish. Mr. Hache also fished aboard the "Gran Jefe" for 1 day, landing a monster roosterfish, 2 chulas, 4 spanish mackerel and several bonitos.

Captain Jose Vargas on the "La Bamba", after posting a 2nd place finish in the Total Tag & Release Tournament a week ago, landed 4 blue marlin and 2 sailfish in 5 days of fishing.

Luis Salas on the "Illusion", managed to find some cooperative sailfish as he posted 5 sails for two fishing days.

Captain Temo on the "Secuestro De Amor", fishing with first time angler, Woody Brodman, landed 1 sailfish on his first day offshore.

European anglers, Mr. Guardia group, fishing aboard the "Gran Jefe" and "Dos Hermanos II", landed 1 yellowtail jack, 3 Spanish mackerel, 2 chulas and lost a big roosterfish at boat side, after a long battle.
