STEADY RAINS DAMPEN LOCAL FISHING ACTION
La Paz,, Mexico Fishing, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Sept. 4, 2004:
Today, the city of La Paz is raining, no wind by 2 p.m., but constant rain. At Punta Arena, La Paz fishing boats are working around the lighthouse, and we are getting bait around La Ventana because of the storm conditions around Ensenada de los Muertos and Isla Cerralvo.
The week in La Paz was rainy in the afternoons, but that didn't seriously affect La Paz fishing, which continued on small tuna and dorado, the same today. With this good rain, we hope for some larger fish, as they usually follow a rain and change in weather.
The air temperature at Las Arenas is about 80 to 96 degrees, and the La Paz vacation area water temperature in recent days around Punta Arena has been 78 to 82 degrees. We're hoping for better fishing soon.
