SQUID AND DORADO SHOW UP AROUND LOCAL WATERS
Sept. 19, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Fleet Report:
This La Paz fishing week the big squid finally arrived and the fishing was also better, since we also started to catch a few bigger tuna, not a lot of them, but it's a beginning. We also caught dorado of 25 to 40 pounds, and good sized wahoo continued.
Today the dawn at the city of La Paz was not too hot. La Paz fishing weather is about 76 to 96 degrees, with a nice breeze, and the water temperature is in the 80s in the area where we are fishing, mainly around San Isidro and Punta Perico.
We continue to have good quantities of sardina bait. The hurricane passed on the Pacific side, and it did not stop our fishing at all at La Paz, and we're hoping it stays that way!
