GOOD FALL FISHING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE HILL
Oct. 16, 2004, Jonathan Roldan, Tailhunter International, La Paz, Mexico Fishing:
Have had great weather and fishing all week.
On the La Paz side, there's a sweet spot of nice dorado right off the SE corner of Espiritu Santo Island with fish in the 10-40 pound class and some days going crazy and boats coming in early.
In the Las Arenas fishing area, it's not fantastic, but it's pretty darned good with some early morning wind and weather and an incredible late season variety including tuna, pargo and dorado directly in front of the old Las Arenas hotel.
Some sails and marlin have been hooked and lost and the best thing is that most of these species can be caught within a few hundred yards of the beach and most boats taking a few of this and a few of that to take home in their ice chests. Biggest surprise has been the fact that we've got hard charging rooster fish all of sudden in Muertos Bay.
