LAS ARENAS SIDE FISHING PRODUCES MOSTLY MAHI-MAHI
Nov. 7, 2004, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:
The week La Paz fishing had some changes. The beginning of the week was not good because of winds from the north and fishing was very slow.
But on Saturday we had good fishing at Las Arenas for mostly mahi-mahi (also "dorado" in Spanish), small tuna, and snappers. La Paz vacation area weather now is very good with no wind and temperatures of 76 to 85 degrees.
The water temperature is 78 to 82 degrees in the areas where we are fishing, around the south end of Isla Cerralvo. We have enough sardina bait to raise the fish.
