VERY FEW PANGAS FISHING OUT OF LAS ARENAS SIDE
Jan. 8, 2005, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:
The beginning of the week had mostly good fishing weather, but La Paz visitors had two days of wind on Thursday and Friday, and yesterday we were back to normal.
The fishing for the very few Las Arenas pangas working around Ensenada de los Muertos and nearby areas continues to be for dorado (mahi-mahi), sierra, some wahoo, and various pargos which are starting to hit well on sardina bait.
We have a lot of those fish, but the problem is there are very few sport anglers fishing around La Paz. The weather has been 68 to 76 degrees, pleasant for all visitors, and we have had no rain. The water temperature in our Las Arenas fishing areas has been 68 to 72 degrees.
