CORTEZ CLUB FISHING REPORT
Feb. 13, 2005, Luis Lopez, Cortez Club, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:
There isn't much fishing to report since some days of this week had rain like we rarely have. We sent only a few pangas fishing out of La Paz, but the good news was that these boats returned with pargo, cabrilla, yellowtail, and sierra, including some nice yellowtail of 15 to 40 pounds.
At the beginning of the week, one boat caught a grouper of almost 100 pounds, and the fishermen were Mino Shiba, and also Kit McNear of Western Outdoor News, who were fishing at El Bajo, and they also fished the north side if Isla Espiritu Santo, where they caught yellowtail.
Saturday and Sunday have had sunny weather and a very tranquil sea, and the air temperature is holding at about 80 degrees during the day, very nice.
Next week, La Paz will celebrate Carnival, a little late because of the elections last Sunday, and now we'll have some fun.
