FISHING WEATHER STABILIZING AFTER WINDY PERIOD
Oct. 9, 2005, Dos Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, La Paz, Mexico Fishing Report:
After some days of uncertainty due to Hurricane Otis, everything returned to normal in our La Paz fishing area, with the weather much improved, and sunny days that aren't too hot, perfect for enjoying days of good fishing.
At this time, the northerly winds are beginning to blow little by little, signifying that soon we will begin launching our fishing boats at Ensenada de los Muertos.
Sardina bait is located at the southern end of Isla Cerralvo, and we have squid around Punta Perico.
During the last few days of fishing, we have had good action and are catching dorado at Las Cruces and La Ventana, with weights of about 20 pounds. We are also catching some tuna at Punta Perico, not big ones, but many of them. There are days when the fishing is very good, and other days when it is a little slower.
