LAS ARENAS FISHING BETWEEN WINDS FOR TORTUGA SPORTFISHING PANGAS
Dec. 9, 2006, Gerardo Hernandez, Tortuga Sportfishing, Las Arenas, La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico:
This week at Las Arenas south of La Paz has seen the weather changing. Strong winds affected our days of fishing and the temperature was down to the 60s.
We did have, however, 2 good fishing days on Friday and Saturday, and our boats caught good numbers of fish such as pargos, cabrillas, sierras, and on Saturday, dorados.
This fishing was found in the areas around Punta Perico. However, the bait is being caught out in the area around Isla Cerralvo.
We have had good fishing, even though the seas have been rough on the days with lots of wind.
Anglers fishing with Tortuga this weed included Noel and his son Ryan West of Yorktown, Virg., who had 2 days of very good fishing with Capt. Enrique Sanchez.
