DORADO SPORTFISHING SEASON WINDING DOWN
Nov. 13, 2004, Don Bear, Loreto, Mexico Fishing Trip Reports:
Both days we fished around Pta. Perico (Is. Carmen) to escape the rough water caused by strong northwest winds. Loreto water temps both days were right around 78 degrees. However, on Friday, when we were trolling for about an hour for dorado (without a single strike), we hit some water that was 80.2 degrees (a perfect spot for dorado, we incorrectly thought). Except for 1 cabrilla and the dorado, all of the fish were caught on iron at the bottom. Mackerel were available for purchase both days, and the sardines in the Loreto marina were abundant and easily netted by Paulino. |
