HALF-DAY FISHING TRIPS AVERAGING ABOUT 2 OR 3 YELLOWTAIL PER BOAT
April 2, 2005, Arturo Susarrey, Arturo's Sportfishing, Loreto, Mexico Fishing Report:
Loreto has been very windy during the week, but anyway we've been trying to go fishing every day.
Yellowtail fishing has been very slow, due to the bad weather, but anglers fishing through the bad weather have been catching 2-3 yellowtail during short trips. Right now, we are spending only 4-5 fishing hours out there.
We are also fishing for some cabrilla and red snapper, and all the fishing is being done north of Loreto, right on San Bruno reef, and some also went up to Pulpito.
Today, we ended the week with very good weather. Mackerel and bigeyes bait are available at Isla Coronado or for sale at the marina, 10 pieces for $15.
