FISHING REPORT FOR PRIVATE BOAT "HELENA" WITH CAPT. PEDRO DAVIS
Jan. 6, 2006, Mitch Rose, Helena, Loreto, Mexico Sportfishing Report, Baja California Sur:
I got back from Loreto on Monday. Fishing was spotty, no Yellowtail but I picked up some bottom fish for tacos.
Capitan Pedro Davis said the water color was not right. Still it was great to be out on the water. The boat ran great and we stayed out until 4:00 P.M.
We went fishing as far as Punta Pulpito and worked our way back. We purchased bait at the Marina but heard no bait was available to make.
The water temperature was about 70 degrees. Baja fishing water was rough and we didn't see too many other Loreto boats. They have had very windy conditions the past few weeks.
The Fishin' for the Mission Tournament is set for July 20-22, 2006, with sign up day the July 20, 2006. Information: fishinforthemission.com.
