ROUGH SEAS KEEPING FISHING BOATS NEAR SHORE

Big waves at the Magdalena Bay bocas are still preventing any of the fishing boats from venturing outside.

A few early arriving whales already have everyone scrambling to finish up preparations for Magdalena Bay's upcoming 12th Annual Whale Festival which will be held on January 28th, with a village wide fiesta that is sure to result in a few bad headaches for some the following morning. In the esteros the corvina and cabrilla are providing the bulk of the action. Magdalena Bay water temperature 68-73 degrees; Air temperature 68-75; Wind NW 11 m.p.h.; Conditions clear.
