JUST A FEW SPORTFISHING BOATS GOING OUT
Mazatlan, Mexico Fishing, Larry Edwards, Cortez Yacht Charters, Sept. 3, 2004:
Mazatlan fishing action continues to be good for the sailfish, with a near average of 2 billfish per boat day. However, very few Mazatlan boats fished this week due to a lack of angler interest.
Mazatlan inshore super pangas are still catching limits of dorado on most trips.
Overall Mazatlan fishing counts for Aries Fleet reflected 5 offshore fishing days that produced 1 small blue marlin and 7 sailfish, (4 released) and 39 dorado.
Mazatlan Climate: 72 to 93 degrees, partly cloudy, humid and scattered showers, mostly in the late PM's
Mazatlan Sea Conditions: Slight breeze and a small swell, temps 87-88 degrees, no effect from the Hurricane
Best Mazatlan, Mexico fishing area: 25-28 miles southwest of the marina El Cid for the billfish and at the shark buoys for the dorado.
Best Lure/Bait: Rigged baits best on the billfish and live bait best for the dorado.
