SAILFISH CATCHES STEADY AT ABOUT 3 FISH PER DAY

The super sailfish action continues with Mazatlan fishing boats averaging 3 sailfish per boat day and 4 dorado per boat day.
The fish have moved in closer with hot action at 18 miles from the Marina El Cid.
Overall counts for 17 fishing days reflected 2 blue marlin, 52 sailfish, (47 released) 1 wahoo, 3 roosterfish and 64 dorado.
Both blue marlin were taken aboard the "Aries II", with Captain Victor Nunez. Largest fish was a 238 lb. blue marlin, taken by Lake Havasu, AZ angler, Dan Para. The "Aries III" had a 7 sailfish release day, with Captain Carlos Morales at the helm.
Mazatlan inshore fishing action for 1 super panga morning was the 3 roosterfish and the 1 wahoo.
Mazatlan Climate: Sunny and warm days, clear skies, temps from 71 nights to 93 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Nearly calm, just 3 knots of breeze today, temps at 87-88 degrees
Best Mazatlan Fishing area: Closer to shore at 18 miles southwest of the Marina El Cid.
Best Bait/Lure: Rigged baits were providing fast action on the sails and the 2 blue's were taken on artificials. Dorado were eager on the rigged baits and the smaller artificials.
