STRIPED MARLIN MOVING IN BUT NOT HUNGRY

More & more striped marlin are showing up in the Mazatlan fishing area on the Mexican coast but the fish are not yet overly eager to bite, albeit, there seems to be plenty of opportunity to bait the billfish. Overall catches for 16 Mazatlan boat fishing days was 4 sailfish, (3 released) 7 striped marlin (1 released) 26 yellowfin tuna and 7 dorado. Mazatlan inshore fishing action has been primarily red snapper and yellowtail for the super pangas, fishing to the north of the Marina El Cid. |
