FULL LOAD OF BOTTOM FISH DURING BAJA PANGA ACTION WITH CAPT. MARCOS
Jan. 28, 2006, Ken Jones, Puerto Santo Tomas, Mexico Fishing Trip Report:
I went to Puerto Santo Tomas with my sister Peggy on Wednesday-Friday, Jan. 25-27, 2006, and we went panga fishing on Thursday. We came back with a full load of Rockfish, Sculpin, sheephead, and many Whitefish.
Marcos was our Mexican sportfishing captain and I highly recommend him to anyone heading to the area. He loves to fish and will stay out with you until your arms fall off or the wind picks up and sends you home.
We caught a nice Cabezon right in front of the Puerto Santo Tomas Resort the first day by shore fishing and it made for a tasty dinner.
There were many gray whales in the Santo Tomas area and temperatures were in the 60's-70's. North swells picked up on Friday and it began to get rough. Sam Saenz at Puerto Santo Tomas Resort as usual was a fantastic host, along with Don Santos, Shon, and Mike.
