IMPROVED FISHING CONDITIONS FOR MARLA'S SPORTFISHING FLEET

Jan. 27, 2007, Marla's Sportfishing, Danny Osuna, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico:

Adam Murray from Davis, California, and Ken Clark from Auburn, California, had a great catch on 100 pound plus tunas aboard our charter fishing boat Marla II with Capt. Danny Osuna while fishing at Roca Corbeteña in Puerto Vallarta waters.

The fishing water conditions off Puerto Vallarta were really nasty with a lot of north wind and swell. But pretty much at the end of the week the weather turned really nice, with the water temperature, from the 78 degrees up to the 80's.

During the past weeks of fishing at Puerto Vallarta, the weather has been nasty and the ocean was really rough.

We had to cancel few fishing trips, but this kind of weather never hurt the fishing.

We still have a lot of yellowfin tuna and marlin all around Roca Corbeteña and some at El Banco.

Of course, we also had some slow fishing days too.

Well, finally the weather is nice again and it looks like Puerto Vallarta will have another good week of catching.

Capt. Scott Osuna from our charter boat Arca de Noe and Capt. Alonso Osuna from our boat Marla III also had a good fishing this week despite all those rough days. They still had a good week.

All the yellowfin tuna were caught this week on the live caballito baits. They were hitting really good, while we were using the kite and helium balloon techniques.

Also, the inshore fishing at Puerto Vallarta is turning on big time, for roosterfish, jacks, Spanish mackerel, skipjack, bluestar jack, and other fish species caught along this section of the Pacific coast of Mexico.
