TOWN BUSY WITH PREPARATIONS
FOR WINTER VACATION SEASON
Oct. 31, 2004, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico:
Hola everyone from San Felipe, where the weather remains perfect. Right now it's 72F with the water at 76F and the humidity is 35 percent. Last night was terrific sleeping weather in the low 60's, and today the bay is calm and almost sky blue. It's a lovely day for Halloween, although decidedly unspooky.
We are getting ready for the busy season and the town is in full gear. The San Felipe Players launched their first play of the season on Friday, and as always, were a great hit, and of course tonight there are myriad costume parties for All Saints Eve. Next comes the Monday and Tuesday festivities for El Dia de los Muertos, and then Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday is the San Felipe Shrimp Festival (we are out of breath just thinking about all this).
Tony Reyes Sports Fishing had a wonderful trip with a boatload of El Dorado visitors which had people just raving about it afterwards, and the SNOW BIRD FESTIVAL will take place on the 26th...VIVA San Felipe!
We here at the bookstore are very proud of ourselves this day, because we actually REMEMBERED to set the clock back last night, so we did NOT show up here an hour early, as in previous years. Have a wonderful Halloween everyone, and as says Catalina, there is no such thing as "too much chocolate." Vaya con Dios from the bookstore by the bay.
