SNOW BIRD FESTIVAL PLANNED
FOR WINTER VACATIONERS
Nov. 14, 2004, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico:
At San Felipe the wind is really BLOWING this morning. The temperature is a coolish 68F with the humidity at around 40% and the water is about the same, but very rough and there's a lot of dust in the air. Yesterday it actually sprinkled on and off most of the daylight hours, and the sky was gray and cloudy, but it's still wonderful to be here.
The San Felipe Snow Bird Festival is going to be on the 26th of this month and is NOT going to be held on the Malecon as it has been previously. Instead it will be at the San Felipe Office of Tourism building which is one block back from the ocean front. I don't know the reason for this change, since the San Felipe Malecon is much prettier, but who am I to question why?
The Baja 1000 starts Weds (I believe that's tech day over in Ensenada) and the race will pass near San Felipe on Thursday the 18th). I hope the winds will have died down by then. Saw Tony Reyes the other day. He says the sportfishing business is going great!
