SUMMER WEATHER WARMING UP WITH CALM SEAS
June 5, 2005, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Town Report:
Hola everyone from HOT HUMID San Felipe, and It looks like it's going to get hotter. Right now its 82 degrees, and definitely going up, on the balcony and the humidity is 51 percent, and I'm dripping into my keyboard here.
The forecast is saying straight sunshine and high 90s for the next three days at San Felipe, then a few clouds, but the temperature will climb into three digits and stay there through the weekend. Tomorrow is my day off, and I am going to spend it sitting in the Sea of Cortez. Yesterday San Felipe did have a nice breeze, especially in the afternoon.
It felt great, but today everything is calm, including the sea. And today it is the color of opals, truly gorgeous. Apparently, just across the mountains the Baja 500 has been taking place. Perhaps it still is. But since it is based in Ensenada it doesn't really effect us. You certainly wouldn't know it judging by appearances here. San Felipe is pretty quiet. Until next week, vaya con Dios from the bookstore by the bay.
