LOTS OF SWIMMING AND BOATING IN SAN FELIPE BAY
June 12, 2005, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Town Report:
Hola everyone from WINDY San Felipe. There is a beautiful breeze blowing this morning which is making the 56 percent humidity level much more tolerable, and there are fast running whitecaps in San Felipe bay, which has been an exceptionally beautiful shade of Turquoise all week.
The air temperature at San Felipe right now is 80 degrees, and expected to go to a high of 90. The forecast for the next five days is for abundant sunshine, mostly clear skies, and some light wind, and it all feels very good.
San Felipe is really getting quiet, although Fourth Of July weekend will be a big one, the last hurrah before the long hot summer.
Most of this week there has been a lot of water activity. The sea is about 80 degrees and attracting lots of swimmers, Hobie Cats and skee-doo riders, and of course the Banana boats.
My friend Gina from Campo Garcia, which is many kilometers south of here, tells me that the weather has been perfect for sailing down her way, and here there are quite a few people buying kayaking how-to books and talking about going all the way to La Paz and points South. Until next week, vaya con Dios, from the bookstore by the bay.
