COOLER WEATHER AND THE SHRIMP FESTIVAL COMING UP
Sept. 30, 2006, Catalina Meders, Title Company Bookstore, San Felipe, Baja, Mexico:
Hola everyone from San Felipe where it's very hot on the bookstore balcony at the moment, 2:32 p.m., but where it's has actually been somewhat cooler this last couple of days.
The humidity meter says 25 percent but it feels much more humid than that. The nights, evenings and early mornings have been very nice at San Felipe. No air conditioning is necessary in my house until about 10 a.m., which is great.
The San Felipe Shrimp Festival is coming up fairly soon and the swap-meet out at El Dorado had it's first session today, so the fall vacation season is upon us. The heat has kept the snowbirds away a little longer than usual this year.
They are working on the road heading north out of San Felipe again. It looks like the whole thing is really going to be four lanes wide much sooner than anyone anticipated. San Felipe is hard to keep up with these days. Until next week, vaya con Dios from the bookstore by the bay.
